He specializes in adult cardiac procedures, including coronary artery bypass surgery, valvular repair and replacement, and aortic surgeries. Dr. Gautam earned his MD from Daghestan State Medical Academy, Russia, and completed his MS in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (BSMMU), Dhaka, Bangladesh. He has also received advanced training in adult cardiac surgery at the Institute of Clinical and Experimental Medicine (IKEM) in Prague, Czech Republic.
